Historic Trails Center trek follows Mormon Trail

Connect pages of history to the land and trails Saturday, Sept. 9, during the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center’s Pioneer Trail Trek program, “Mormon Trail Diaries."

While following the Mormon Trail west of Casper, participants will delve into several journals and diaries at various stops along the way and connect back to the pioneer experience. The focus of this trail trek will be from the Casper area, following the river and Mormon Trail west.

This trail trek will depart from the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center at 8 a.m. and should return in the late afternoon.

Participation is free of charge but please wear appropriate clothing and bring sack lunches, drinks and sunscreen. Be prepared for inclement weather as the day unfolds. Transportation is not provided to sites and carpooling is encouraged!
