PRICE, Utah - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is seeking public comment on an environmental assessment (EA) for a vegetation treatment project in Carbon County.
If approved, the North Springs Habitat Enhancement Project is intended to improve wildlife habitat and reduce wildfire risks. The proposed project is tied to Utah’s Watershed Restoration Initiative - a partnership based program that aims to improve watersheds throughout the state.
"Shared stewardship projects like this one are vital to managing sustainable, working public lands," said Acting Price Field Manager Deej Brown. “The BLM welcomes and values your diverse views, and we are looking forward to getting your feedback."
The EA is available for review online via BLM’s ePlanning website: may call the Federal Relay Service (FRS) at 1-800-877-8339 to ask a question or leave a comment. The FRS is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Replies are provided during normal business hours.
