IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - To better serve the public, the Bureau of Land Management’s Upper Snake Field Office and Caribou-Targhee National Forest are now selling permits and maps at the Idaho Falls District Office and Caribou-Targhee Forest Headquarters Office, which are co-located at 1405 Hollipark Drive, Idaho Falls, ID 83401. Permit and map sales will continue to be available at the Palisades Ranger District at 3659 E. Ririe Hwy.
“Every year we get scores of people who Google our main office address on Hollipark and stop in to buy wood permits or U.S. Geological Survey maps," said Jeremy Casterson, BLM Upper Snake Field Manager. “In the past, we didn’t have the ability to fulfill these requests at our District Office so we partnered with the Idaho Falls Visitor Center to help us. The permit and map sales operations are now ready for use at our main office and we’ll be able to provide a much better service."
The same maps, permits and gifts will be available at the new location. Offering one-stop shopping service at the District Office will provide greater access to natural resource specialists for visitors with detailed questions.
Office hours will be Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
For questions or concerns, please contact the Idaho Falls District Office at 208-524-7500.
