BLM Alaska seeks public input on Campbell Tract Educational Activities Environmental Assessment

The following press releases was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management on April 4, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - The Bureau of Land Management Anchorage Field Office is seeking public input as it prepares an Environmental Assessment of educational activities on the BLM Campbell Tract in Anchorage.

The 730-acre Campbell Tract is a BLM administrative site and is a designated Special Recreation Management Area. In addition to recreational uses, the Campbell Tract provides outdoor activity and science study sites for a variety of environmental education day-use programs. The BLM anticipates the educational activities that have occurred over the past ten years will continue in the same or a somewhat higher capacity. The Environmental Assessment will analyze potential impacts to resources from these educational activities.

The BLM welcomes and values diverse views about the public land it manages on behalf of the American people. To review the draft Environmental Assessment and submit comments, please visit the BLM’s National NEPA register at https://eplanning.blm.gov/epl-front-office. Using the Advanced Search function, enter NEPA number: DOI-BLM-AK-A010-2018-0022-EA. Comments will be accepted through April 17, 2018.

Before including your address, phone number, e-mail address, or other personal identifying information in your comment, be advised that your entire comment - including your personal identifying information - may be made publicly available at any time.
