LAKEPORT, Calif. - The Bureau of Land Management Ukiah Field Office is temporarily closing the South Cow Mountain Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area on Friday, May 11 beginning at 8 a.m. until Monday, May 14 at 8 a.m. for the 2018 Sawmill Enduro event.

The BLM facilitates opportunities for commercial recreation on our public lands that create jobs that help local communities grow.

The North Bay Motorcycle Club of Santa Rosa will host the event, which is the second round of the American Motorcycle Association’s International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) West Qualifier Series. Roughly 230 of the top motorcycle riders from across the country will compete on a timed, 70-mile off-road course on the South Cow Mountain OHV Recreation Area.

Due to safety concerns, spectators will only be allowed near the Lakeport entrance of the South Cow Mountain OHV Recreation Area on Sunday, May 13.

Public lands keep America not only beautiful, but also strong.

For more information, please contact the Ukiah Field Office at 707-468-4000.
