Santa Fe, N.M. - The Bureau of Land Management New Mexico, in partnership with Santa Fe County, is seeking volunteers for an upcoming public lands clean up event in the Santa Fe, N.M. area. The event will be held on April 13, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. in the Camel Tracks Shooting Range area near County Road 56.
“We’ll be cleaning up debris from shooting activities, as well as household trash that has been illegally dumped in the area," says Justin Dean, BLM Law Enforcement officer and organizer of the event.
The clean up is open to the public and families are encouraged to participate. “This is a great opportunity to get outdoors and make a difference for public land resources you use and value," says Dean.
Participants should wear work boots and long sleeved shirts, and bring water, sunscreen, gloves, and rakes. BLM will provide trash bags. Reservations are not required. For more information, contact Justin Dean at 505-412-7392.
