BLM Eastern States cancels six wild horse and burro placement events

WASHINGTON - The Bureau of Land Management Eastern States announces the cancellation of six wild horse and burro placement events in May and June to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by limiting opportunities for public exposure.

The events were scheduled to occur May 1-2 in Ewing, Ill.; May 15-16 in Chatham, Va.; May 22-23 in Swanzey, N.H.; June 5-6 in Cassopolis, Mich. and Ewing, Ill.; and June 12-13 in Resaca, Ga.

The most current schedule for adoption and sale events across the country is available at https://www.blm.gov/programs/wild-horse-and-burro/adoption-and-sales/events. During the current public health situation, interested parties should check back regularly for schedule updates.
