BOISE, Idaho - The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Idaho Resource Advisory Council will meet to discuss a variety of public land management topics on Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022. The meeting will be held virtually via Zoom. Agenda items will include updates on BLM projects, activities, and events across Idaho; the proposed Lava Ridge wind energy project; BLM collaboration with the University of Idaho; and travel management planning. There will also be time allotted for public comments.

“The Resource Advisory Council plays a very important role in public land management by providing BLM with critical input on activities throughout the state," said Peter Ditton, Acting Idaho State Director for the BLM. “We greatly appreciate this group of individuals from across Idaho who volunteer their time to share their perspectives and enhance our decision making."
The 15-member BLM Idaho Resource Advisory Council provides a forum that brings together stakeholders with diverse interests to provide advice and recommendations to the BLM on issues and challenges associated with the Bureau’s multiple use mission.
A general BLM public comment period is scheduled for 4:15 p.m. on February 16. Depending on the number of people wishing to comment and time available, the amount of time for individual oral comments may be limited. Written comments may also be submitted before the meeting via email to MJ Byrne, Idaho RAC Coordinator at mbyrne@blm.gov.
