Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield’s Meeting with President Vjosa Osmani of Kosovo

Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met today with President Vjosa Osmani of Kosovo. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield thanked President Osmani for Kosovo’s leadership on Summit for Democracy initiatives, Kosovo’s continued hosting of Afghan refugees, and its unwavering support for Ukraine.
Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield and President Osmani also discussed recent developments in Kosovo. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield underscored that the EU-facilitated Dialogue remains the best mechanism for resolving issues between Serbia and Kosovo and achieving mutual recognition. Ambassador Thomas-Greenfield also noted that the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo had long outlived its original purpose and underscored the importance of finding a more relevant role for the UN in Kosovo.
