PPQ 586 Transit Application Coming Soon to APHIS eFile!

Dear Stakeholders,

Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) is excited to announce that on September 30, 2022, the PPQ 586 Transit permit application is coming to APHIS eFile!

What to expect in the transition from ePermits to APHIS eFile:

  • Effective September 30, PPQ will no longer renew or issue new Transit permits through ePermits.
  • All active Transit permits issued through ePermits will remain valid until permit expiration.
  • No ePermits data will be moved into APHIS eFile. You will need to submit a new application in APHIS eFile when your permit expires.
  • Once the application is available, you will be provided with user guides and “How To” videos to lead you step-by-step through the new application.
Set up your account today:

To set up your APHIS eFile account in anticipation of the release, please go to https://efile.aphis.usda.gov/s/ and refer to the Account Registration help video.
