Increase in Visitation for February 2006

Petrified Forest, AZ - Park Superintendent Lee Baiza announced the visitation for February was up by 22% over last year with 25,424 visits compared to last year’s 20,922. For the year the park is up by 18%.

Visitors who wish to get a good overview of what Petrified Forest National Park is all about should stop at the Painted Desert Visitor Center or the Rainbow Forest Museum and see the park film, “Timeless Impressions". The 20 minute film is shown throughout the day and is free of charge.
