Notice to Mariners Changes in the Boulder Basin (Burro Point)

Lake Mead National Recreation Area Superintendent William K. Dickinson announced the following changes in Aids to Navigation in the Boulder Basin on Lake Mead. Due to fluctuating water levels, the Burro Point Light number 6 previously located at:

36 degrees, 4 minutes, 55 seconds north

114 degrees, 43 minutes, 01 seconds west

has been relocated to:

36 degrees, 4 minutes, 54 seconds north

114 degrees, 43 minutes, 13 seconds west

This aid will show red light and display a “Quick Flash" sequence. This light is on for 0.4 seconds and off for 3.6 seconds. The sequence is then repeated.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area is a unit of the National Park Service.
