Petrified Forest National Park Announces 2007 Summer Cultural Demonstrator Program

Petrified Forest, AZ - May 2007 kicks-off the beginning of the Petrified Forest National Park’s Summer Cultural Demonstrator Program. This program will provide the opportunity for regional peoples to share their history and traditional crafts in the dynamic setting of Petrified Forest National Park. The park has scheduled demonstrators on Saturdays from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend to participate in the program. The goal of the program is to further the public’s understanding and appreciation of the rich diversity of human tradition and history in this region.

Cultural Demonstrator List:

Saturday, May 26: Dee Setalla- Traditional Hopi pottery firing

Saturday, June 2: Eileen Yatsattie- Traditional Zuni pottery

Saturday, June 9: Ellen Simper- Mormon crafts and history
