Park Featured on ABCs Good Morning America

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on May 3, 2007. It is reproduced in full below.

Residents of the Pacific Northwest may recognize North Cascades National Park as a jewel of the National Park system. Majestic mountains, alpine meadows, scenic lakes, and lush forests have enticed generations of visitors to engage in a variety of recreational and educational opportunities since its designation in 1968. However, the park and its significance may not be as widely known beyond the region. ABC’s Good Morning America has chosen to feature the park as a "Hidden Wonder" this Sunday, May 6. The three minute segment will highlight the park’s diverse landscapes and explore the significance of this special place through interviews with park staff. The program airs in the Seattle area on KOMO-TV at 7:00 a.m.
