Notice to Mariners Changes in Aids to Navigation Las Vegas Wash Area of Lake Mead 27-07

Lake Mead Recreation Area Superintendent William K Dickenson announces changes to Aids to Navigation in the Las Vegas Wash area of Lake Mead. Due to lowering water levels, the following buoys have been added:

Las Vegas "A" Safe Water Buoy located at:

36 degrees 05 minutes 00 seconds north

114 degrees 46 minutes 23 seconds west

Las Vegas "B" Safe Water Buoy located at:

36 degrees 05 minutes 54 seconds north

114 degrees 48 minutes 24 seconds west

Las Vegas "C" Safe Water Buoy (previously Las Vegas "A" Safe Water Buoy) located at:

36 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds north

114 degrees 49 minutes 44 seconds west

These red and white vertically striped, can shaped, lighted buoys will show individual "Flash" sequences. The white lights will be on for 0.8 seconds, off for 1.2 seconds and then on for 2.4 seconds then off for 3.6 seconds. The entire sequence is then repeated
