Artist-in-Residence to Share Experience

North Cascades National Park Artist-in-Residence Kevin Bernstein will share his art and experiences from a spring residency in Newhalem. Kevin is a painter inspired by humankind’s relationship to nature and how its role in society has changed throughout history. The presentations will explore the small wonders that exist in the shadow of the park’s majestic mountain scenery.

When: Wednesday, July 11th at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Location: North Cascades National Park Headquarters 810 State Route 20 Sedro-Woolley.

Kevin is a Seattle-based artist with a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington. He has taught at the University of Washington and at the University of Puget Sound.

The Artist-in-Residence program invites artists to immerse themselves in the national park and work with park visitors, community members, and staff to explore the park in unique and meaningful ways through the arts.
