Fires restrictions for National Park Service
facilities on Lake Roosevelt were lifted beginning Oct. 1, 2007. Cooler temperatures and rain have reduced the fire danger. Fires are allowed only in designated fire rings and grates within developed campground and picnic areas.
Between November 1 and May 1, small (less than 3 feet in diameter) warming fires are allowed on the exposed lakebed. Fires on the exposed lakebed must be at least ten feet from logs, structures or vegetation and must be attended at all times. Campers are required to completely extinguish all unattended campfires.
