The Keweenaw National Historical Park Advisory Commission will convene for its regular quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ontonagon Township Memorial Building located at 311 North Steel Street in Ontonagon. The Commission, paneled by citizens appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, represents the general public and works collaboratively with the National Park Service to advise and assist with managing the resources of Keweenaw National Historical Park. The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
The meeting will be held in the Ontonagon Theater for Performing Arts auditorium, which can be reached by a staircase from the main entrance of the Memorial Building or by a ramp from the parking lot. Those who find stairs difficult to manage can be driven to the top of the ramp and enter the theater at floor level. To make this entrance available to anyone who may need it, the theater asks that no cars remain parked at the top of the ramp.
