Cape Lookout National Seashore Announces National Park Week and Junior Ranger Day

Harkers Island, N.C. -- Superintendent Russel J. Wilson invites the public to join Cape Lookout National Seashore in observance of National Park Week and Junior Ranger Day.

President Bush has proclaimed April 19 through 27 as National Park Week and encourages everyone to enjoy the natural wonders and inspirational history found in parks across the country.

Junior Ranger Day is a special day during National Park Week for kids of all ages. We invite you to bring your family to the Harkers Island Visitor Center for special Discovery Cart programs at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 26th. We will also have Ocean Conservation Jr. Ranger Activity Guides, Jr. Ranger Gazettes and the Cape Lookout Jr. Ranger Activity Booklets. Come and help your child become a Jr. Ranger!
