Saturday, September 6 Climate Change at Rocky & Beyond

Wondering what is happening in your backyard concerning changes in climate? What will happen to the marmots and pika’s home? Explore the causes and effects of past, present, and future climate change at Rocky Mountain National Park and examine the role each person plays in this process.

Saturday, September 13 Wilderness - Rocky's Biggest Attraction!

Learn more about the National Wilderness Preservation System. Come see the wilderness of Rocky Mountain and our Wilderness neighbors throughout Colorado.

Saturday, September 20 The Wild Bunch

What are those small creatures scurrying around bear lake? Is it a chipmunk or a squirrel? Are they important? Squirrels, chipmunks and marmots are some of Rocky’s smaller wildlife - but wild they are! Come learn about their lifestyle and even hear a "tall tale" about a tiny animal.

Saturday, September 27 The Pika - Heir of the Ice Age

Rocky’s alpine tundra is home to the pika, a small hare. Leftover from the Ice Age, specifically adapted to the frigid alpine environment, the pika is a likely indicator of climate change. Find out about this hearty, alpine rabbit so many people adore!
