Everglades National Park Reopens Following the Passage of Hurricane Ike (Homestead)

Everglades National Park is prepared to open to visitation following the passage of Hurricane Ike. All areas of the park will open to the public on Thursday, September 11.

Public Access to the Main Park Road will begin at 6:00 a.m. The Shark Valley Visitor Area will open at 8:30 a.m. The Gulf Coast Visitor Area will open at 9:00 a.m.

Dry Tortugas National Park continues to feel effects from Hurricane Ike and remains closed at this time.
