Pinnacles National Monument Hosts Second Annual Rockpile Rendezvous

Pinnacles National Monument continues to celebrate the legacy of climbing at Pinnacles with the Second Annual Rockpile Rendezvous. This year’s event will be held April 4, 2009 from 10:00am to 3:00pm on the East Side of Pinnacles, and will feature information booths, demonstrations, and talks by notable Pinnacles climbers, local climbing organizations, and climbing outfitters.

The Rockpile Rendezvous celebrates the legacy of conservation and the stewardship ethics climbers have practiced over the last 70 years at Pinnacles, the unique and historical climbing resource Pinnacles has to offer, and acknowledges the climbing community's contribution toward raptor awareness, resource preservation, and enhancing visitor opportunities and experiences. This event will be a great chance for climbers to connect with each other and for non-climbers to immerse themselves in the climbing culture at Pinnacles.
