Director to Present Philmont Scout Ranch History

January’s Glimpses of the Past guest speaker Museum Director, Seth McFarland will be presenting the history of the Philmont Scout Ranch on Thursday Jan. 21st, 7pm at Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation at 116 Bridge Street, Las Vegas. As part of the original Maxwell Land Grant near Cimarron, the Philmont Scout Ranch, now a Boy Scouts of America premier High Adventure base, challenges scouts and venturers with more than 200 square miles of rugged New Mexico wilderness. Mr. McFarland has been the director of the three Philmont museums since 2007. The monthly “Glimpses of the Past" programs are free of charge, in cooperation with Citizens Committee for Historic Preservation.
