LOWELL, MA -On Saturday, March 20, Trolley 4131 and Streetcar 966 will be riding the rails from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm bringing visitors throughout downtown Lowell. Special trolley tours will be offered at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to include traveling on all available rail line in downtown Lowell. Tours are 1 hour 45 minutes in length, free, and begin next to the trolley stop in Mack Plaza. See staff in the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center for more information and directions. Join us as we celebrate the return of the trolleys - a true symbol of the beginning of spring!
While in the Park on March 20th, join us for a special Travelogue Program at the Park’s Visitor Center. Park Rangers from Adams National Historical Park will bring the words of President John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, and Abigail Adams to life as they share letters written between these three famous historical figures. The program begins at 2:30 pm in the Visitor Center Theater.
The spring season allows us to get outdoors and enjoy the sights around us. Many local residents took that challenge of viewing our local resources by capturing those images in photographs for The Lowell Photography Contest. Join us as we congratulate the 20 winners of that contest at a special reception to be held in the Boott Cotton Mills Museum from 4:00 - 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 20.
All the events are free, please join us for a fun filled day in Lowell. You can follow us on Twitter, Lowell_NPS and Lowell National Historical Park is on Facebook.
