Artist in the Parks Program Applications Being Accepted (Cortez)

The Southeast Utah Group of the National Park Service is currently accepting applications for its 2011 Community Artist in the Parks Program.

Started in 2009, the Community Artist in the Parks Program highlights the connection between a local artist and the surrounding landscapes of Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and Hovenweep and Natural Bridges National Monuments.

The Community Artist creates works of art within the National Park Service sites and shares his/her inspiration and creative process with visitors from around the world. The 2011 Artist in the Parks Program term will begin April 1st and end November 19th.

Completed applications must be received by Feb. 12, 2011.
