Davison Road, off U.S. 101 in Orick, Calif., will be closed to the public beginning Monday, October 31 for seasonal grading and road surface repairs. Road crews will work Monday-Thursday, and anticipate the project to take at least two weeks.

The road will be open on weekends, from 4:30 p.m. on Thursdays to 7 a.m. on Mondays, during this work period to allow visitation to Elk Meadow, the Trillium Falls Trail, Gold Bluffs Beach, and Fern Canyon.

In the interim, visitors are encouraged to explore other nearby areas of the park, including the Redwood Creek Trail, Dolason Prairie, and Lady Bird Johnson Grove.

Questions about the closure dates may be directed to Public Information Officer Candace Tinkler at 707-465-7304 or Park Guide Rob Sewell at 707-465-7335.
