On this 259th anniversary of the French and Indian War, Fort Stanwix National Monument presents "Crossroads of Culture," a historic immersion experience for the entire family. Be escorted to fort headquarters by a military guard to be issued your passport back in time.Explore how the English and French battled for colonial domination and set the stage for the American Revolution. The fun begins Saturday, May 25th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and continues through Sunday, May 26th from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
·Volunteers will guide you through colonial life and military operations at Fort Stanwix. Visit the fort's surgeon and you may get a bleeding with leeches. Experience soldier's life in the barracks and crime and punishment in the Guard House. Swap recipes from the 18th century. What are you willing to trade for a trade bracelet?
