Update on Search Efforts for Diving Victim

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 2, 2013. It is reproduced in full below.

The search continues for a 28 year-old male subject who failed to surface after diving off a 25-foot-high bluff on theBuffaloRiverFriday afternoon. After an intense effort Friday evening, search efforts were pared down on Saturday due to flood conditions which brought turbid and debris-laden water through the site. As conditions ameliorated on Sunday the efforts were again ramped up as theriverdropped approximately three feet from Saturday's levels, and were clear enough to deploy a "fish-eye" underwater camera. The search area has been extended another 600 feet downstream from the incident site and the Harrison Swift Water Team joined the other assets already working the scene.
