On Saturday, June 22, there will be a day long celebration of the 350th Anniversary of Rhode Island's Royal Charter. The festivities will begin at the Rhode Island State House starting at 10 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Charter Room. From 1 PM to 6 PM, the celebration will move down to the Roger Williams National Memorial, beginning with the unveiling of a plaque marking the spot where Williams’ home once stood. Other activities at the memorial will include a trading post to see and touch the types items that Roger Williams and Native Americans would have traded in the mid-1600s, performances by the Eastern Medicine Singers and the Big Nazo puppets
