Small Aircraft Crash Causes Two Fatalities

Jackson Hole Airport Fire Department, Grand Teton National Park rangers and EMTs, Jackson Hole Fire/EMS, and Teton County sheriffs responded to a report of a small aircraft crash near North Spring Gulch Road in Grand Teton National Park at 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.

The two individuals aboard an RV7 aircraft were deceased when responders arrived on scene. No other people in the vicinity of the crash were injured. An RV7 aircraft is a two-seat, single-engine, low-wing plane.

Park rangers are in communication with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). Law enforcement park rangers and NTSB will conduct an investigation into the crash.
