Visitors can access public areas and roads immediately while facilities and other public services are brought back online. War in the Pacific NHP has been closed since October 2 due to the lapse in Congressional appropriations.

“We are happy to bring our staff back to work and to welcome our visitors to War in the Pacific National Historical Park," said Acting Superintendent Ron Borne. “Although our crews will continue to clean up storm debris, the parks will reopen during normal operating hours on Saturday".

The public is reminded that the T. Stell Newman Visitor Center is open seven days a week, from 9 am - 4:30 pm and is located just outside the Naval Base Guam main gate.
