Homestead/Naples/Miami Florida: Entrance fees to Everglades National Park will be waived during the entire Veterans’ Day weekend, (November 9th through the 11th). Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities in the nearly 1.5 million acres of this unique National Park, with an entrance to the park just minutes away from Homestead, Florida City, Miami, Naples, and Everglades City!

Visit our website to plan your day in the park - there is so much to do - from Ranger guided walks, boat tours, tram tours, miles of hiking trails or bring your own bicycles and explore.

In addition, on Veteran’s Day, November 11th, the park will host an Open House at the Historic Nike Missile Site from 10am to 2pm. Visitors can enjoy a tour of this important historical Missile Site built in the middle of a national park shortly after the Cuban Missile Crisis and view a 40 foot Nike Hercules Missile.

Superintendent Dan Kimball noted “Visiting the Nike Missile Site gives visitors a chance to step back in time and reflect on the legacy of the Cold War. This is a place where history comes to life and whispers of the past can be heard in the wind."
