2014 Annual Pioneer Reunion

Contemporary Pioneers

Big Bend Natural History Association will hold the 26th Annual Pioneer Reunion in the Panther Junction Visitor Center Community Room at Big Bend National Park on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 1-5 PM. Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at the door, but reservations are highly recommended because of limited seating.

This year's theme is Contemporary Pioneers, and speakers include legendary river guide and actor Catfish Callaway of Terlingua, internationally famous photographer James Evans of Marathon, Fire and EMS Chief and owner of Far Flung Outdoor Center Greg Henington of Terlingua, and newspaperman and naturalist John Waters of Marathon, publisher of the Big Bend Gazette.

Forever Resorts, LLC, will serve finger food from a buffet on the patio, and Betty Baker will provide music if she doesn't break her neck again beforehand.
