Washington - Billy Goat Trail Section A between Chesapeake & Ohio Canal towpath and the Potomac River within the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historical Park will be closed on October 16th from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
U.S. Park Police personnel will be conducting training excises in the area. In order to ensure visitor safety during this training exercise the trail will be closed.
Uniformed officers will be posted at the entrance/exit points of the trail for the duration of the training exercise.
U.S. Park Police reminds visitors and cyclists to obey all closure signs as they are in place for their own safety while training is underway.
