In celebration of the National Park Service's upcoming centennial next year, the Obed Wild and Scenic River is hosting monthly healthy hikes. Healthy hikes are ranger-led activities which provide visitors with opportunities to improve their health and learn more about their national parks. Participants for this month's healthy hike should meet at 3 p.m. (ET) in the Lilly Overlook parking area on Saturday, March 21. Ranger Hall will lead a half mile hike out the Boulder Field Trail. Participants will have the opportunity to wind their way along a maze-like course through house-sized boulders and learn about the ecosystem of this unique area. Participants should wear weather appropriate clothing and bring plenty of water and anything else needed for the hike. Well-behaved dogs on leash are always welcome.
