Obed Wild and Scenic River Announces Wildflower Walk to Kick Off National Park Week on Saturday, April 18

In celebration of the upcoming centennial of the National Park Service in 2016, the Obed Wild and Scenic River will kick off National Park Week with a wildflower walk on the Nemo to Wartburg section of Cumberland Trail. Participants will meet at the Nemo parking area on Saturday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. (EDT). This two mile walk will highlight some of the local wildflowers and beautiful views of the Obed and Emory Rivers. This section of trail is moderate to strenuous and participants are encouraged to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring water.
