Bridge work continues in Acadia

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 16, 2015. It is reproduced in full below.

On June 17, work will begin on the top of the Kebo Brook bridge, located by the Gorge Path trailhead on Park Loop Road. The trailhead parking will remain open and parking will be allowed on the right shoulder beyond the construction and trailhead lot. Gorge Path and the connector trail leading under the bridge to the north will remain open. After July 15, the connector trail under the bridge will be closed but the Gorge Path will remain open, with a short detour around the construction site.

Work at the ME 3 bridge at Sieur de Monts will be completed by June 19. Work on the ME 3 bridge at Day Mountain will continue and probably be completed by July 15.
