New River Closure at the Thomas Buford Pugh Memorial Bridge

Fayette Co., WV -West Virginia Division of Highways announces an upcoming closure of the New River from the Grandview Sandbar to McCreery due to the continued construction of the Thomas Buford Pugh Memorial Bridge on WV 41 in Prince.This closure is for all commercial and recreational activities including boating, swimming and fishing.River activities will be prohibited beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 and is anticipated to continue through Saturday, September 5, 2015, according to Greg Hylton, District Nine Construction Engineer.

Please be advised that the schedule could change due to inclement weather or unforeseen conditions.
