Late Wednesday afternoon, two hikers located a human body in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

MEDORA, ND: Late Wednesday afternoon, two hikers located a human body in Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Multiple law enforcement agencies including the Dickinson Police Department, Billings County Sheriff's Office, North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the National Park Service, responded to the scene. The body was removed from the park and transported to Bismarck for autopsy.

More information will be available when the autopsy is completed and the results analyzed. The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation. There was no danger to the public.
