Celebrate the Centennial of the National Park Service with the Toasted Ponies in Concert at Homestead National Monument of America!

Beatrice, Nebraska -Enjoy music drifting across the tallgrass prairie as Homestead National Monument of America celebrates its 80th birthday and the Centennial of the National Park Service with the evening Centennial Concert Series. The program Saturday, July 16, 2016 starts at 7 p.m.at the Homestead Education Center and will feature the Toasted Ponies.

This group is also known for great harmony singing and hot instrumentals. Visitors can expect to hear Bluegrass, Cajun, Western Swing, Gospel and Celtic tunes, just to keep things interesting, from the Toasted Ponies.

"We wanted to make our 80th Birthday and the National Park Service's 100th birthday extra special and thought the best way to do that was with music. We hope the visitors enjoy this multi-talented group," said Superintendent Mark Engler.

Centennial Concert Series:

7:00 p.m. July 16 Toasted Ponies

7:00 p.m. July 23 Paul Siebert

7:00 p.m. July 30 String Beans

7:00 p.m. August 6 Gulizia Brothers

7:00 p.m. August 13 Lightning Bugs

The Centennial Concert Series will take place outside.In the event of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors.You might want to consider bringing a lawn chair, although chairs will be provided, and insect repellant.
