Park Advisory Commission to Meet October 18 2016

The Keweenaw National Historical Park Advisory Commission will convene for its regular quarterly meeting at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 18 at park headquarters located on the corner of Red Jacket Road and Hwy. US-41 in Calumet.

The meeting will include an update on the efforts and work of the Commission and the National Park Service during the last quarter. The meeting will also include the introduction of the park's new Superintendent, Wendy Davis, as well as updates about the Quincy Smelter and the park's plans for 2017.

The Keweenaw NHP AdvisoryCommission, paneled by citizens appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, represents the public and works collaboratively with the National Park Service to advise and assist with managing the resources of Keweenaw National Historical Park. The Commission's quarterly meetings are open to the public.
