Correction to White Sturgeon Fishing at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

Correction to White Sturgeon Fishing at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on June 8, 2017. It is reproduced in full below.

We apologize for the inaccurate information in our previous press release concerning sturgeon fishing at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area. Due to size restrictions on allowable sturgeon, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) requires anglers to bring retained sturgeon to shore whole. Both WDFW and the National Park Service encourage anglers to clean sturgeon at home.

For more information on fishing for White Sturgeon at Lake Roosevelt, please visit WDFW at https://fortress.wa.gov/dfw/erules/efishrules/erule.jsp?id=1975.
