Annual Ice Cream Social & Free Concert featuring Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers
On Saturday July 1st at 1 :00 pm, the park will host an Ice Cream Social with music performed by Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers. The Friends of William Howard Taft Birthplace will provide a variety of ice cream during the two hour event. Our holiday celebration will take place on the North Lawn of the boyhood home of the nation's 27th U.S. President and 10th Chief Justice of the United States.
Ma Crow and the Lady Slippers is an all-female Bluegrass/American/Mountain-Music band from Cincinnati, Ohio who play ballads to bluegrass and old-time contemporary harmonies. Ma Crow is a legendary acoustic artist in the Cincinnati area and a Cammy (Cincinnati Grammy) award winning group.
A visit to the site includes a Ranger guided tour of the boyhood home at the top and bottom of each hour, self-guided exhibits and an introductory video on Taft's life and career. All activities are free and parking is available in our overflow parking lot on Southern Avenue. Visit the Directions page for detailed info on directions and maps.
