Join us at Effigy Mounds National Monument on July 15th, 2017 for another great Junior Ranger Day. Children of all ages are invited to join us from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for hands-on learning about prehistoric fire starting, hunting, and natural fiber cord making.

Don’t forget your hiking shoes. We encourage you to grab a Junior Ranger activity book and head out on the trail after the program to earn one of our new wood Junior Ranger badges. Please no unaccompanied minors. All programs are weather permitting, please call in the event of inclement weather.

Effigy Mounds National Monument preserves prehistoric American Indian burial and ceremonial mounds, including some in the shape of animals.
