To Hold

A Location and Design Public Information Open House

For Kennesaw Mountain Pedestrian Improvements

GDOT P.I. No. 0015279, Cobb County

On Tuesday, Aug. 08, 2017(date) at Marietta High School(location), located at 1171 Whitlock Avenue NW, Marietta, GA 30064, the Cobb County Department of Transportation and the City of Marietta Department of Public Works will hold a Public Information Open House concerning the project listed above.

The proposed project is being developed jointly between Cobb County, the City of Marietta, the National Park Service, and Georgia Department of Transportation and consists of the construction of new pedestrian improvements that would be comprised of three, 8-foot-wide (minimum) to 10-foot-wide (desired) multi-use trails. The pedestrian improvements would be located on Whitlock Avenue, Cheatham Hill Road, and Burnt Hickory Road. The total project length would be approximately 3.85 miles, of which approximately 1.69 miles would be located within the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

The purpose of this Location and Public Information Open House is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the project, ask questions, and comment on the project.

The Open House will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It will be informal, and the public is invited to attend anytime during these hours. There will be no formal presentation. A court reporter will be available to allow the public an opportunity to make verbal comments about the project.
