WELLFLEET, Mass. - Cape Cod’s beauty and history have long inspired the literary arts. In honor of this legacy, Cape Cod National Seashore will convene six notable Cape Cod authors for a free public program on Sunday, Oct. 1, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham. During the first hour, each author will read a passage and share views on such things as their writing process and inspiration. The second half of the program will be informal, including book signings and conversations with the authors. Authors participating in this literary event are:
* Robert Finch, author of The Outer Beach: A Thousand-Mile Walk on Cape Cod’s Atlantic Shore
* Don Krohn author of On Cape Cod
* Martin Sandler, author of The Whydah: A Pirate Ship Feared, Wrecked, and Found
* Kathryn Kleekamp, author of Cape Cod and the Islands: Where Beauty and History Meet
* Nan Rossiter, author of The Fo’c’sle: Henry Beston’s Outermost House
* Dan Payne, author of Henry Beston, “Orion of the Dunes"
All of the titles are available for purchase at the Salt Pond Visitor Center Eastern National gift and bookstore. Light refreshments will be provided by Eastern National.
