Tonto National Monument Luminary Event and 110th Birthday Celebration

Roosevelt, AZ - Join Tonto National Monument to celebrate the festive season and the Monument's 110th birthday at the 2nd Annual Luminary Event on Saturday, December 16 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Hike the Lower Cliff Dwelling Trail with glimmering luminaries to light your way. The trail will close to uphill hiking at 8:00 p.m. to allow enough time to return to the visitor center. Bring water, a flashlight or headlamp, warm clothing, and close-toed shoes. This event is free and open to the public.

Activities and demonstrators will be taking place at the Tonto National Monument Visitor Center and amphitheater from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. to celebrate the 110th birthday of the Monument. Regular entrance fees will apply during these hours.

No camping is available at Tonto National Monument. The nearest camping is available at Windy Hill Campground in Tonto National Forest. For more information on camping visit http://www.fs.usda.gov/tonto/
