Buffalo Point Campground Closed Due to Storm Damage

The following press release was published by the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service on July 21, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

Buffalo Point Campground sustained major damage after a storm came through the area at approximately 1:30 am on Saturday, July 21. Several large trees fell down and blocked roads, brought down power lines, damaged park facilities, vehicles and RVs. Fortunately, very minor injuries were reported and all other areas of the park remain accessible and open to the public.

At the time of the press release the Buffalo Point Campground, Buffalo Point Cabins and Restaurant are closed due to a lack of electricity, sewer, and phones. Buffalo Point Campground is expected reopen on Tuesday morning.
