White Shark Public Information Session: Cape Cod National Seashore to host Public Information Session on Sharks, Seals, and Public Safety

WELLFLEET, Mass. - Cape Cod National Seashore Superintendent Brian Carlstrom invites the public to attend an information session on sharks, seals, and public safety on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018. The meeting will take place at the Nauset Regional Middle School auditorium in Orleans, MA from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The event will consist of speaker presentations followed by an expert-panel question and answer session. Panelists will include:

Dr. Greg Skomal, Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries

Cynthia Wigren, Atlantic White Shark Conservancy

Dr. Andrea L. Bogomolni, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution

Lisa Sette, Center for Coastal Studies

Leslie Reynolds, National Park Service, Cape Cod National Seashore

The purpose of the meeting is to share the latest science and information on shark research, seal research, and public safety, and to address public questions and concerns related to the risks posed by sharks.

The Nauset Regional Middle School is located at 70 Route 28, Orleans, MA 02653. The auditorium is an accessible space.
