Tumacácori Re-Opens

With the enactment of the Continuing Resolution on Friday evening, staff at Tumacácori National Historical Park resume regular operations on Saturday morning, January 26th. The park re-opened at 9:00 a.m. As of this morning visitors will be able to access all parts of the mission grounds, visitor center and river access. The park also resumed its normal schedule of daily mission tours at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., as well as tortilla-making and basketry demonstrations from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please visit www.nps.gov/tuma for updated information about the park.

Tumacácori’s employees are grateful to be back on the job. “We are eager to resume serving our visitors and communities, and to continue the important work of protecting, preserving and interpreting the park’s cultural and natural resources entrusted to our care," says superintendent Bob Love. “Thank you for your patience and support over the past 35 days."

Con la promulgación de la Resolución Continua el viernes por la noche, el Parque Histórico Nacional de Tumacácori reanuda las operaciones regulares el sábado por la mañana, 26 de enero. El parque abrió sus puertas a las 9:00 a.m. A partir de esta mañana, visitantes podrán entrar a los terrenos de la misión, centro de visitantes y al Rio Santa Cruz. El parque también reanudó su horario normal de caminata guiadas de la misión de Tumacácori, diario a las 11:00 a.m. y las 2:00 p.m., así como las demostraciones de tortillas y artesanías de 10:00 a.m. a 4:00 p.m. Visite www.nps.gov/tuma para obtener información sobre el parque.
